Enkuso Entelon: Lab + Retreats

Enkuso Entelon is a Maasai word for the mist that dances in the leaves of the Acacia trees. These trees, and this dance, usher in the mornings on this land in Kenya. In 2007 we purchased this land in Kenya's Great Rift Valley and have been building a place for rest, healing, connection and creation.

We are now expanding and building a community lab (TenTogether Commons Accelerator) and a retreat center (Ishq) . We honor the generations before us who have stood on this same land and felt its power for connection and healing. We are creating a space with a wide invitation for those who feel a call to be here. It is a place for restoration and creation.

We are actively looking to raise funding of $500,000 through a mix of loans and donations to complete the next phase of building. *$60,000 raised as of Jan 26 2024.

We are already open for business and actively hosting retreats. We can sleep up to 20 attendees in our main house and cottages nearby. Our 140 sqm workspace is completed and available both for retreats and on a daily basis.

Work is underway to expand the capacity of the facility through the addition of a community innovation lab, guest cottages, kitchen, gym, and restaurant.

Archeological excavations adjacent to the site suggest it was at this spot, at the end of the last ice age, that humans first began to gather in community.  We believe that the land holds a power and invites retreat participants to deeply explore love and connection. On a hill in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, at the convergence of two rivers on an ancient lakeshore, our common ancestors first began to gather in cooperative communities.  The power of this land still resonates with our deep longing for connection and union.

We both host our own retreats and make the facility available to others. Our current capacity is 20 individuals with building plans to increase this gradually.4.
